I have 2 item transporters in each ogdens retreat and mochis manor for easier transportation of foodstuffs, as well. I've not decided what to do with the grey or gold teleporters yet. I have a teleporter to my fishing docks to make feeding easier, and a teleporter to the glass desert. I haven't decided what I want the largos to be in the Mochi's manor but I chose the base slimes based off of their preferred food. I have a spreadsheet for statics to make sure I don't have too many that eat a certain type of thing. The hunter slimes I can just leave an auto feeder of 100 foodstuffs for so I don't really worry about them much. Puddle slimes have 2 limits for plort production, although only 1 is listed. Now the reason for potentially 4 puddles over 5. This will be the most profitable layout with how sr1s market actually works. Fire need to be fed constantly and quantum tend to be escape artist, so they're away from all other slimes. Put 4/5 puddles in the natural ponds in the lab and workshop, 20 in the one in mochis manor (this may need some puzzle cubes for consistency). I put my "troublesome" slimes in the frequently visited crafting area. I free range chickens in all areas for the extra protein. I used to try and keep them all fed but lately I just keep the fire, quantum, and hunter slimes fed because fire can die without ash (I think? Could be wrong), quantum are escape artist and hunters go feral if not fed. I also have at least 2 of every type of slime, except fire and quantum. Framerate limit: 144, this should be optimal for most PCs. This goes for all games, not just Slime Rancher. This is especially important if you have a adaptive sync or Gsync monitor. I have most of the important foodstuffs all in one place, which I can gather, Silo, and distribute, with the exception of the onions which are on the ogden retreat. Resolution: Choose your native resolution (the highest) I recommend Fullscreen and VSYNC Disabled. I don't know if I would call mine the 'best' setup, but I really like it and am happy with it.
